Osteobuster Exercise Programs

Glens Falls Hospital in cooperation with AdROC and RSVP offers the Osteobusters Program. Osteobusters is a free osteoporosis treatment and prevention exercise program lead by seniors for seniors. The program convenes several times a week, typically meeting in community centers or similar locations. Volunteer program instructors go through a full-day training session plus yearly updates on exercise programs. The classes typically host 12-25 participants from the age of 50 to over age 90 (Some of our instructors are in their 80s!). The program includes strengthening and balance exercises using weights from 2 to 10 pounds and incorporates educational programs on topics related to 0steoporosis. To find out about program dates and times, please call Kelly Pilkey, 518-926-5919.
