What are secondary causes of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women?

Secondary causes of osteoporosis in the post menopausal years include certain diseases and medical conditions that can cause bone loss. In addition, certain medications, some of which are necessary to treat these same medical conditions and diseases, may also increase the risk for bone loss and osteoporosis.
